Description
The serving trays begin with the end panels from recycled wine crates, the panels are then surrounded by fine woods such as walnut, mahogany, cherry or wine pine that is reclaimed from various deconstructed homes or restoration projects throughout the Northeast Ohio area or from the wine boxes themselves. Much of my material has historic ties to the community. The outside trim is made from the heart pine flooring that was removed from homes that were deconstructed one piece at a time in the greater Cleveland, OH area. I re-mill and re-saw the flooring to make the outside trim. The handles were designed to use recycled wine corks. Only fine woodworking techniques are used and there are no nails and very little hardware used to create the pieces. The tray surface is then sealed and bonded with an epoxy resin that is clear, durable and food safe. If you spill on the tray, you simply wipe it clean.
One of a Kind
Because each piece is a unique one of a kind creation and my inventory is ever changing, I do not offer the trays for sale over the web. If you would like to see a link to my tray inventory, please check the box above If you don’t see one you are interested in, please contact me and we can discuss a custom piece. I also can send you a link to the trays I have sold, so you can see what I have made and perhaps I can make one similar for you.
